Перевод «title» в англо-русском словаре

A title is a document that shows legal ownership of a property or asset. A title can represent ownership of a real asset such as a car or an intangible property or asset such as a trademark. Titles can be obtained by purchased or inherited as an estate. Three components apply to the concept of a title: ownership, occupation or possession, and the right of possession.

In property law , title is an intangible construct representing a bundle of rights in to a piece of property in which a party may own either a legal interest or equitable interest. The rights in the bundle may be separated and held by different parties. It may also refer to a formal document , such as a deed , that serves as evidence of ownership. Conveyance of the document transfer of title to the property may be required in order to transfer ownership in the property to another person.

TITLE | English meaning - Cambridge Dictionary

It may signify either generation, an official position, or a professional or academic qualification. In some languages, titles may be inserted between the first and last name for example, Graf in German , Cardinal in Catholic usage — Richard Cardinal Cushing — or clerical titles such as Archbishop. Some titles are hereditary. Some people object to the usage of titles to denote marital status, age or gender. This is in line with established practice advocated by the World Wide Web Consortium [2] and the Government Digital Service [3] which sets the standard for UK government online services.
